My Sunday Weekly Update is basically about showing the new books I've gotten for the week, what I last read, what I'm currently reading, what I plan to read next, and any other thing involving books from the last week and possibly the weeks coming up!

I got all of these books except for Dust & Decay for my nook! The first two and the last were because I recently read Obsidian, the first book in the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Since then I've also read the first two books listed as well, and just bought Opal a half hour ago. Dust & Decay is because I read Rot & Ruin. The rest of the books were books I was interested in reading at some point in my life, and I saw them cheap from the nook store, so I jumped on them and bought them! They are now added to my owned books "to-read" queue, which is growing and growing everyday it seems. I don't usually buy this many books in one week!

Loved this book! Definitely a new fan of Armentrout. I can understand why some people may not like her writing, but I can't help but adore her characters. Roth was just the right amount of bad to make you unsure if he was trustworthy, even when your whole body wanted you to believe he was honest and true to Layla. Definitely getting the next book when it comes out!
Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Summary: Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don't kill him first, that is.
Yet another Armentrout book! After reading White Hot Kiss, I was craving more of her writing style. I had bought Obsidian as a cheap nook book within the past few months, but never got around to reading it. While I thought the idea for the story sounded good, I was unsure about the Aliens, as I haven't really read any books with Aliens. Because of this, I was hesitant to start it, but after reading White Hot Kiss, I jumped right in, finishing the book in one sitting. I loved Daemon and his asshole behavior, and Katy and her snarky comments. After this, I bought the prequel and sequel, and I can't wait to delve into those stories as well!
