Sunday Weekly Update #2

Here we go again! I'm finishing up a marking period in school right now, hence the reason there's not much this week that I'm updating on when it comes to what I've read. There probably won't be too much the next two weeks or so too, but once the marking period is over and I can stop cramming, I'm hoping to knock out a ton of books!

New Books:
Wake (Dream Catchers, #1) by Lisa McMann
Summary: Not all dreams are sweet.

For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody- notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.

She can't tell anybody about what she does -- they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can't control.

Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant....

Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Serena Cross didn’t believe her best friend when she claimed to have seen the son of a powerful senator turn into something... unnatural. Who would? Hunter stirs Serena’s temper and her lust despite their differences. Soon he’s doing the unthinkable—breaking the rules he’s lived by, going against the government to keep Serena safe. But are the aliens and the government the biggest threats to Serena’s life… or is it Hunter?

Origin (Lux, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Summary: Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

Daimon (Covenant, #0.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Summary: For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards… and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.

According to her mother, that’s a good thing.

But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill.

The daimons have found her

Read:
Opal (Lux, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Summary: No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it

Obviously I'm very indecisive right now over what I plan on reading next. I want to read more of the series' I'm into right now rather than start new ones, as I have a ton of first books to series. Honestly there's just so many I want to read and I want to be reading them all at once! I could, but I wouldn't enjoy them nearly as much as I do when it's just me and the one book world. Adding more than one, while I can keep them separate in my mind, it's not as enjoyable to have to put off another story in the middle of it, rather than at a point where it's supposed to be put off (like the end of a book that isn't the end of a series). ONE of the books listed is going to be one that I read next. They're ones I've been dying to read soon. It was seriously too hard for me to narrow at the moment. I'm sure I'll narrow it when I finish The Dream Thieves. It may be hard for me then, but it'll come down to what I'm feeling at the time. What Genre I want to read, and what book I feel the most pull towards. I don't know. I'm weird..

This has been a random ramble about the books I plan on reading next.
